Dean's Office Scholarships
PATRICIA GUTHRIE ENDOWED SCHOLARHIP
Eligible recipients shall meet the following criteria:
- Be a foster youth or former foster youth.
- Be a full time, degree-seeking undergraduate student, with a preference for those students majoring in Human Development, Women’s Studies, Ethnic Studies, and Criminal Justice.
- Have a minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Submit a 300-500 word essay outlining their foster care system experience, challenges and how they have overcome them.

The NVM GONZALEZ SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS FUND
Eligible recipients shall meet the following criteria:
- Be an enrolled undergraduate student at CSUEB.
- Have a minimum GPA of 2.5 at CSUEB.
- Submit a formal application for scholarship.
- Submit a written statement of purpose including personal goals, accomplishments, and career aspirations that demonstrate a commitment to improving society.
- Provide two letters of reference from CSUEB faculty or administrators.

FRIEDA AHELEAS SCHOLARSHIP
Eligible recipients shall meet the following criteria:
- Be a full-time undergraduate student, with a declared major in the College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences.
- Be in good academic standing, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 for all units earned at CSUEB.
- Submit a brief essay with a maximum of 300 words that clearly demonstrates the student’s: financial need; demonstrated past or future interest in a field related to Jewish studies (including, but not limited to, history, religion, art, culture, and society); past academic performance showing the ability to complete the degree in a timely manner with high academic achievement.

THE BARBARA OWEN SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Eligible recipients shall meet the following criteria:
- Be a full time, degree-seeking undergraduate student, with a major in the College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences
- Have a financial need, as demonstrated by filing the FAFSA or CA Dream Act
- Submit an essay addressing demonstrated interest in women’s history, organizations or affairs
- Have a single parent status
