  • Planning unique internship experiences for majors;
  • Offering 1-unit "Linked Labs for Success" to connect major degree work with career planning and preparation;
  • Supporting graduate school applications, especially in writing detailed letters of recommendation;
  • Reviewing cover letters and resumes;
  • Developing and researching opportunities with the Office of Internships, the Center for Community Engagement, and the Career Empowerment Center at Cal State East Bay.

History majors have landed internships with the following companies, organizations, and offices:

  • Legal Department of a global biopharmaceutical company
  • District Office of an East Bay congressional representative
  • Oakland Unified School District
  • Non-Profit Housing Association of Northern California
  • Bay Area JusticeCorps
  • San Francisco History Center at the Main Library of the San Francisco Public Library
