Joanne Goodstone Scholarship in Computer Science
Description: There are up to three $1,000 scholarships available to undergraduate students who plan to major in computer science. This scholarship was established in 1986 in memory of Joanne Goodstone, a 1984 graduate in Computer Science at California State University, East Bay.
Criteria:
1. Recipients must be enrolled as an undergraduate student majoring in Computer Science at California State University, East Bay during the Fall Quarter of 2010.
2. Recipients must be a U.S. citizen.
3. Recipients must be a resident of California.
4. Applicant must have a 3.25 (out of 4.00) grade point average in all high school mathematics and science courses taken if the applicant is currently a Freshman. Otherwise, the applicant must currently have a 3.0 grade point average.
5. The recipient must show financial need as demonstrated by having submitted a FAFSA to the financial aid office at CSUEB.

Selection: Selection will be made by a committee of faculty in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. Its decision will be announced in mid-May, 2010.
