Preparing for a Move

  1. Submit a Moving Request

Complete an online Service Request 30 days in advance of your intended move date. When completing the request:

    • Note if there are book cases, keyboard trays or other attached items, so that the carpenters can prepare those items for your move.
    • Include how you'd like your furinture placed in your new space. (Example: Place desk nest to window. Book case along the right wall.)

Once a move is scheduled you will be notified by email.

  2. Computers and Phones

Complete an ITS Service Desk Ticket online to have your computer and phone disconnected and reconnected on your move day.

Day Before: Packing Up

Box all items including:

  • Binders
  • Books
  • Personal desk items
  • All miscellaneous items

Label all items with your name and new location. (If you don't label your items, we don't know if you want them moved.)

Day Of: Moving

Please have everything ready and labeled on the schedule date. Your presence is not required for the move. For your own safety, please do not help move heavy items.
