This transition is designed with our campus's best interests in mind, aimed at enhancing our collaboration capabilities while ensuring cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency. We are dedicated to providing detailed support throughout this change, including training and resources, consultants to move data, email, and files to the new platform to make this project as turnkey from an end-user perspective.

The transition to Microsoft Office 365 will be carried out in stages over the next 18 months, with the following serving as an approximate timeline:

Months 1-3

Initial Planning and Infrastructure Assessment – We will conduct a comprehensive assessment of our current technology infrastructure along with stakeholder consultations to prepare the initial groundwork for migration along with arranging a suitable consulting partner.

Months 4-6

Pilot Program – A pilot program will be launched with selected departments to fine-tune the migration process based on real-world usage and feedback.

Months 7-12

Phased Rollout – Following the pilot, we will begin a phased rollout of Office 365 across campus, department by department, to ensure a smooth transition with minimal disruption.

Months 13-15

Training and Support – Concurrent with the rollout, extensive training sessions and support resources will be provided to ensure all campus constituents are comfortable and proficient with the new platform.

Months 16-18 and beyond

Completion and Review – The final stage will involve ensuring that all campus members have successfully transitioned, followed by a review of the process to identify and address any outstanding issues or tools in Google that have yet to be transitioned.
