Cal State East Bay’s Center for Student Research will hold its annual student research symposium Wednesday and this year, more than 75 students are expected to present.

The CSR is a student-focused program that encourages students to engage in their own academic and professional development. The program provides students with access to workshops as well as faculty-mentored research and creative activity opportunities with the goal of positively improving each participant's academic and professional success.

The scholars program requires its students to participate in the annual symposium, which regularly draws more than 200 people. This year, projects from all four of the university’s colleges will be displayed, and students will be available to answer questions and present their projects.

Attendees are invited to visit each poster, speak with the student researchers and learn about how the projects tie into their professional passions and goals. The event will consist of two parts — verbal presentations and the poster session.

This year’s research symposium will be held in the University Union Room 307 from 10 a.m.-noon, and light refreshments will be served. For more information about the event, please email csr@csueastbay.edu.
