Cal State East Bay To Host Simpson in Three-Game Series

HAYWARD, Calif. - The Pioneer baseball team, 0-4 in the CCAA and 2-5 overall, will host Simpson University in a three game series on Feb. 19-20. 

The two teams will play a single game on Feb. 19 at 2:00 p.m.  The three game series will conclude with a Feb. 20 doubleheader beginning at 10:00 a.m.

As a team, the Pioneers are hitting .311 and have a .970 fielding percentage. Richie Gonzalez is the Pioneers top hitter with a .462 batting average. Stephen Gatehouse is hitting .444 after seven games. ]

Charlie Sharrer has a .389 batting average with four runs scored. Nick McManus, hitting .385 for the season, has a team-best seven RBI. Josh Rush has two home runs in seven plate appearances.
