CSUEB Set to Face Cal State Monterey Bay and San Francisco State in Final Road Trip

HAYWARD, Calif. - The Pioneer men's basketball team, 2-16 in CCAA play and 5-18 overall, will face Cal State Monterey Bay on Friday, Feb. 19 and San Francisco State on Saturday, Feb. 20 in their final road trip of the season.
Cal State Monterey Bay is 5-13 in CCAA play and 5-13 for the season. The Otters lost to the Pioneers, 88-69, on January 16. Cal State Monterey Bay is led in scoring by Davion Berry averaging 12 points a game.
San Francisco State has an overall record of 15-11 and 8-10 in the CCAA. The Gators defeated the Pioneers, 61-43, on January 14. Marquel Hoskins, averaging 14.3 points a game, is the Gators leading scorer.
Cal State East Bay is currently on an eight-game losing streak. The Pioneers are averaging 59.6 points while shooting 39 percent from the field.
On January 30, senior Jun Uchida became the all-time assist leader in Cal State East Bay history with 339. Freshman Mark Samuels is the Pioneers leading scorer averaging nine points a game. Senior Jawaan Rubin is averaging six points a game. Senior Saeed Gaston, averaging 4.6 points a game, is shooting a team-best 51 percent from the field. Freshman Jacob Noisat is the Pioneers top rebounder at 4.2 rpg.
