AC Transit changes service to Hayward campus starting March 28

On Sunday, March 28, 2010, AC Transit will implement service changes to its routes that will affect service to Cal State East Bay's Hayward campus. Line #92, which currently serves the CSUEB campus from the Hayward BART station, as well as Southland Mall and Chabot College, will be discontinued.

Line #92 will be replaced by two different bus lines:

  • Line #60, with service between Hayward BART and CSUEB's Hayward campus
  • Line #22, with service between Hayward BART, South Hayward BART, Southland Mall and Chabot College

Line #60 will operate between 6 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. daily, with service every 20 minutes on weekdays and every 40 minutes on weekends. Line #92 will continue to operate on its normal schedule through March 27.

CSUEB students, faculty and staff may ride bus lines #60 and #22 for free with a current university ID card.

An additional route, Line #86, also provides service between Hayward BART and Southland Mall. Bay Cards will not be accepted as payment on this route.
