Wet Weather Changes Baseball and Softball Schedules
The Pioneer baseball and softball schedules have been altered due to expected rain.

HAYWARD, Calif. - Impending wet weather has again altered the Cal State East Bay softball and baseball schedules this weekend. Both team's Friday doubleheaders have been moved to an earlier start due to forecasted rain in the afternoon.
The Pioneer baseball team will now meet No. 3 UC San Diego at 10 a.m. on Friday at Pioneer Field. The two squads will then play single games on Saturday and Sunday, both scheduled for 11 a.m. starts. Depending on field conditions on Saturday, start times for the final two games of the series may be altered again as the weekend progresses.
The Pioneer softball team and Sonoma State are now set for a 10 a.m. start to the series-opening doubleheader on Friday and are tentatively set to finish doubleheader action at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Pioneer Field.
With an increasing chance of showers beginning at noon on Friday and continuing through the evening, Cal State East Bay will make a decision on game time and location for the second softball doubleheader on Saturday morning. If field conditions prove too poor to play on Saturday, the doubleheader may be moved to an 11 a.m. start on Sunday at Pioneer Field, or 11 a.m. Sunday at Santa Rosa Junior College which features an all-weather surface.
