BFA students show art in annual exhibition

Students in California State University, East Bay's Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) program will display paintings, photography, sculpture and works on paper as part of an annual exhibition of student work.
The exhibition at the University Art Gallery, 25800 Carlos Bee Blvd., Hayward, will be open 12:30–3:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays from March 30 until April 22, except for March 31. Admission is free. An opening reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 29.
“The Annual BFA Exhibition showcases work by ambitious student artists who are focused on creating fine art in a concentrated academic program. Students in the Bachelor of Fine Arts participate in group critiques and are held to a high level of excellence by their instructors. The current exhibiton features one or two works by each artist in the BFA program,” said Laura Schuh, assistant gallery curator.
The student artists are Jasmin Marie Alconcher, Victor Arce, Kathleen Bonnar, Matthew Ecclesiastre, Carol Faber, Eyaeal Fisseha, Monica Garcia, Tony Hoang, Kenneth Hung, Zsuzsanna Laszlo, Pat McCabe, Rene Mijares, Justin Reece, Diane Reilly, Melanie Grayrain Sharr, Andrew Wallace, Michael Wallace and Elizabeth Zunino.
