Pioneers in 13th Through Two Rounds at Hanny Stanislaus Invitational

TURLOCK, Calif. - The Pioneer men’s golf team stands in 13th place after two rounds of the Hanny Stanislaus Invitational on April 12.

The Invitational, held at the Turlock Golf and Country Club, consists of 18 teams. As a team, the Pioneers have shot 35-over par-611, 29 strokes behind leader Cal State Stanislaus. The Pioneers trail ninth place Cal State Dominguez Hills by only nine strokes.

Wes Davis fired a 4-over-76 in the second round to lead all Pioneer golfers after two rounds. Davis sits in 37th place with a two-round score of seven-over par-151. Jordan Cimino shot a 3-over par-75 in the second round and is tied with five other golfers in  44th place.

Justin Tambunting had the best second round score of all Pioneer golfers as he fired a two-over par-74 and is tied for 50th in the Invitational.

Steve Shutler and Andrew Walters are 65th and 66th respectively after two rounds.

The third and final round will be played on April 13.
