New arts marketing company launched in San Francisco Bay Area
- July 1, 2010
Brittany Hogan and John Clevenger, co-founders of Integrated Arts Marketing, announced their official launch today. The company was founded in the belief that it is essential to create a strategy that employs all the key components of both traditional and new marketing: advertising, direct mail, website, email, social networks, newsletters, etc., in a strategic, coordinated and integrated effort that will increase awareness and engage participation.
Integrated Arts Marketing (iam) is positioned as the Bay Area’s most effective arts promotion agency. The marketing landscape for industry and the arts has changed dramatically and existing companies and artists must leverage new means of communication to attain their voice. The rapid emergence of social media and networking has rendered traditional methodologies less effective and often a waste of time and money. Marketing is no longer a monologue, but a dialogue. To communicate with target audiences effectively, an organization must now engage them in ways that were never possible before.
“In conversations with theatre organizations, we constantly hear how hard it is to manage all these new media outlets, the time required reading and responding to all this inbound traffic, fearing that they might do more harm than good if it isn’t managed effectively.” said Brittany Hogan. Added John Clevenger, “This is partly because SMM was never truly integrated into their strategic marketing plan, and partly because the existing technology created all these “islands” of duplicated effort and data. We hope to help theatre companies and arts organization in general make the leap to the new Social Media Marketing world.”
