- July 31, 2010
Cindy Gillespie, a longtime resident of Petaluma, has been selected as a board member of the American Red Cross of Sonoma & Mendocino Counties.
Gillespie, who was raised in Petaluma, has served as the human resources director for Amy's Kitchen in Santa Rosa for the past eight years. The natural and organic frozen-food producer is the eighth largest private-sector employer in Sonoma County.
She is a member of Santa Rosa Sunrise Rotary, as well as a volunteer with Canine Companions for Independence and The Professional Association of Sonoma County for Human Resources.
Gillespie previously served as president of Professional Association of Sonoma County and chair of the Private Industry Council.
She received her business administration and industrial relations degree from California State University, Hayward — now called Cal State East Bay.
Other new board members for the local American Red Cross chapter are: Andy Bannister, president of Earthstone Construction; Tyler Comstock, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Jackson Family Wines; Stacy Drucker-Andress, management support consultant for Agilent Technologies; Mike Purvis, chief administrative officer for Sutter Medical Center in Santa Rosa; and Greg Restinas, interactive editor for the Press Democrat.
The new board members were announced following the American Red Cross of Sonoma & Mendocino Counties annual meeting, which was held on June 17.
