Cynthia Murphy Honored by Cambridge Who's Who

Cynthia Murphy, an instructor at Diablo Valley College and Brandman University, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in psychology instruction.
Cynthia Murphy is currently teaching at Diablo Valley College and recently joined Brandman University where she teaches psychology courses that focus on general, modern, adolescent, women's and child development. She also plans lessons, selects appropriate teaching materials including textbooks, and has office hours to interact with students on a one-on-one level. She became involved in her profession because of her educational background, and she attributes her success to her personal experience, ability to teach psychology at the college level and passion for her profession.
Ms. Murphy received her Master's Degree in Social Forensic Psychology from San Francisco State University in 2006, and her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from California State University, East Bay in 2004. In addition to her formal education, she is a certified substitute teacher (K-12) in the State of California. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, a former member of the Golden Key International Honour Society and a former president of the East Bay Chapter of Psi Chi.
