The Princeton Review, the highly-regarded evaluator and publisher of guides for university-bound students, has selected California State University, East Bay as a “Best in the West” college for 2011.
It is the seventh straight year that the university has been recognized by the Princeton Review, which provides college preparation information to students throughout the United States.
The Princeton Review gave the university a strong recommendation after reviewing results from a survey of Cal State East Bay students about campus life, academics and classmates.
“This is outstanding recognition for our students, faculty and staff to receive The Princeton Review’s continuing endorsement of our university,” said Mo Qayoumi, Cal State East Bay president. “It is another confirmation that we’re on the right track in reaching our goal of making Cal State East Bay a destination university—with high quality degree programs and first-rate student services and facilities.”
Cal State East Bay was one of 120 institutions of higher learning to receive the 2011 “Best in the West” designation.
“We’re pleased to recommend Cal State East Bay to users of our site as one of the best schools to earn their undergrad degree,” said Robert Franek, Princeton Review’s senior vice president/publishing. “We chose it and other terrific institutions we name as ‘regional best’ colleges mainly for their excellent academic programs.”
