• Fall Convocation is scheduled from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, Sept 20, in the University Theatre. President Mo Qayoumi’s address will begin at 9 a.m. Coffee and tea will be served in the Theatre Courtyard beginning at 8:15 a.m.
• Fall classes start Sept. 22. Find enrollment related services in the new Student Services and Administration Building or consult the .
• The fall reception for faculty, emeriti and new faculty will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Sept. 30 in the New University Union.
• The College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences will hold the CLASS Convocation Ceremony Monday, Sept. 20, in the University Theatre, immediately following the University Convocation.
• Open Enrollment for employee benefits runs Sept. 13 through Oct. 8. For details, visit human resources' benefits Web site.
• The eBenefits training that began in August wraps up this month with sessions scheduled Sept. 15 and 16 at the Hayward campus. An online self-service tool, PeopleSoft eBenefits gives faculty and staff members who receive benefits the ability to enroll in and maintain their benefits online. Sessions will be filled on a first come, first served basis and offered from 1:30 to 3 p.m. in the University Library Biella Room.
• A new enrollment procedure starts fall quarter. Students enrolling during the late add period –– beginning the seventh instructional day of the term –– must obtain a permission number from the academic department offering the course. Each department will determine whether the department office or the course instructor will issue permission numbers. Visit the for details and frequently asked questions.
• The will be held Monday, Sept. 13, at Hiddenbrooke Golf Club in Vallejo. All proceeds from the event support the Richard and Susan Sherratt Athletic Scholarship Endowment.
• Student Health and Counseling Services has introduced a Web-based appointment system. Visit and clicking the MyPioneerHealth button to make an appointment.
• Pioneer soccer will host Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day Friday, Sept. 10, for the teams' conference openers against Cal State Dominguez Hills at Pioneer Stadium.
• Information Technology Services reminds faculty and staff members to change NetID passwords before they expire to avoid disruptions to account access and service. are available on the ITS Web site. If a NetID password can not be changed due to expiration, visit a public access computer -- also known as a kiosk computer -- and follow the password online.
