Free, first Tuesday jazz master classes resume Nov. 2

For the first time, Cal State East Bay will present free Jazz Masterclasses the first Tuesday of each month on the Hayward Campus, 25800 Carlos Bee Blvd. All programs will be at 7 p.m. in the recital hall, Music Building, 1055.
Presenters will offer demonstrations and engage in a dialogue with attendees.
The Erik Jekabson Quartet will present Nov. 2. No December masterclass is scheduled due to finals week; the program will resume with saxophonist Mary Fettig, Jan. 4; flutist and percussionist John Calloway, Feb. 1; vibraphonist Christian Tamburr, March 1; trombonist Josh Roseman, April 5; pianist Mark Levine, May 3; and bassist Martin Wind, June 7.Details are available at:
