Fremont voters pass school tax, appear to re-elect incumbent council members

Meanwhile, incumbent Garrett Yee and newcomer Jan Giovannini-Hill won seats on Ohlone College's board of trustees. With all precincts reporting, Yee had 46 percent of the vote and Giovannini-Hill had 35 percent. Trailing far behind was Ohlone student Ishan Shah with 19 percent.
Jan Giovannini-Hill, who lost in 2006 to retiring Trustee John Weed, said her many years as an administrator at Cal State East Bay would prove an asset to the board.
