Born in Oakland, Kelley Bollinger and his family moved to the North Bay in 1990 to Windsor.
He began his career in accounting in 1979 after graduating from Cal State Hayward (East Bay) with a degree in finance and began working in a small export firm in San Francisco where he moved up to the position of controller. While with the firm, he began a tax and consulting service, which ultimately grew into the firm he owns today.
“Previous to my current position as CEO of Bollinger Accountancy, I was a tax accountant for Tiret Accountancy Corp. in San Francisco. My first position was that of credit manager at the small export firm in San Francisco in 1979.”
His firm focuses on taxation, specifically trusts, estates and business entities. They also offer accounting and management consulting, audits, reviews, compilations, litigation support and business valuations.
His biggest personal accomplishment is being a good father.
“I’m a single dad, and that is my ongoing mission. Professionally, I built up this firm on a shoestring to the current level. I did it by being a good listener and pinpointing solutions that are in the clients’ best interest. We do it in the most ethical and respectful manner.”
In his spare time he is a musician and an avid athlete.
“I also enjoy reading and gourmet cooking,” he said.
The firm is currently growing through aggressive marketing and looking to acquire other practices.
“We plan to expand more into the litigation support and business valuation areas with more audit and review work as well. We will most likely double in size within the next two years and open up another office. Within five years, we will be considering where the next office will be the most advantageous to service our client base and focus the next stage of growth.”
