Art by Cal State East Bay students, alumni, faculty and staff will be shown at the Cinema Place Gallery, 1061 B St., Hayward, 94541 from Aug. 2 through Sept. 2 at an exhibition called "Connections."

The opening reception will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2. The exhibition will be open from noon to 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and from noon to 4 p.m. Sundays.

It will include paintings, sculpture, photography and framed poetry. It also may include performance and music.

“The idea is to show the entire spectrum of the arts at the University and the cultural benefits they could bring to the city of Hayward,” said Michael Wallace '12 (art), who is the exhibition currator and a sculptor.
