HAYWARD -- Leroy M. Morishita will be formally installed as Cal State East Bay president on Friday.
Morishita took over as interim president in July 2011 after 29 years at Francisco State. In January, he was appointed the fifth president of the university.
His investiture takes place at 10:30 a.m. at the outdoor peristyle next to the music building on the north side of the campus, 25800 Carlos Bee Blvd.
Cal State Chancellor Charles Reed will swear in Morishita, who will then lay out his vision for the university. Robert Linscheid, chair of the Cal State board of trustees, will preside.
