Endowment distribution by Cal State East Bay Education Foundation

  • December 5, 2012

The Cal State East Bay Educational Foundation announced Nov. 29 that it will authorize a distribution of $946,000 from the university’s endowment earnings to more than 100 scholarship and academic programs in early 2013.

The foundation’s endowment, totaling more than $13 million, is a result of the generosity of past and current donors. The foundation annually distributes a portion of the endowment to fund scholarships and university programs.

“Our board is deeply committed to this university, and we are pleased to be able to provide this increased support to the campus community,” said Evelyn Dilsaver '77, chair of the Cal State East Bay Educational Foundation board. "The majority of our board members have made financial contributions to the endowment directly, in addition to participating with our time and energy. It gives us a great deal of satisfaction to be able to provide much needed scholarships as well as support for university programs."

"Increasing the endowment is one of our major priorities to provide for needs unmet through the university budget process," said Anne Harris, interim vice president for University Advancement. "We are pleased that the support by the foundation this year will help our students and benefit many of our programs.”
