Cal State East Bay's Brianna Terrance has been selected the California Collegiate Athletic Association Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 11-17.

Terrance, a junior from Tacoma, Washington, played a major role in the Pioneers' two road wins at Cal Poly Pomona and Humboldt State.

In the victory over Cal Poly Pomona on Feb. 14, Terrance scored 16 points on 8-for-13 from the field. Two nights later, Terrance added 17 points on 7-for-12 from the floor, a three-pointer, and two free throws in the Pioneers' overtime win over Humboldt State.

Terrance averaged 16.5 points and 4.5 rebounds, and shot 60 percent from the floor, in 56 minutes of play.

During the Pioneers seven-game winning streak, Terrance has averaged a team-high 11.4 points a game, while shooting 60.3 percent from the field (35-58).

Terrance is the Pioneers' second CCAA Player of the Week honoree in women's basketball since joining the conference in 2009-10. She joins Sarah Finlay, who received the honor on Feb. 14, 2011. Terrance is East Bay's first weekly award honoree of the 2012-13 campaign and its first since softball's Taylor Neumann was honored in March of last year.

The Pioneers are in sole possession of fourth place in the CCAA with an 11-7 record. East Bay is 13-9 for the season, and will play two road games this week at UC San Diego on February 22 and Cal State San Bernardino on February 23.
