Poetry readings set for March 12 at 7 p.m. at Albany Library in Albany, Calif.Samantha Kennedy's poetry has been printed in Verbivore, The Las Positas Anthology, Occam's Razor, and The Copperfield Review. She was a featured reader at both Ravenswood and A Literary Evening at the Firehouse. She was recently the second place winner of the Donald Markos poetry prize and third place winner of the R.V. Williams fiction prize at California State University, East Bay, where she is completing her BA.
Julia Stahl’s poetry has been published in Verbivore and the Las Positas College anthology. She was a featured reader at the Ravenswood poetry series. Her poem “Gringa” was selected for the Library of Congress Community College Competition anthology. This year, she will complete her BA in Sociology at UC Berkeley. She looks forward to spending some time in the world of work before contemplating grad school.
