The 17th annual Cal State East Bay Golf Classic is less than three weeks away, but there’s still time to secure your registration. Join the Pioneer Athletics Department staff and coaches on Monday, May 13, at TPC Stonebrae, a par-72, 7,200-yard course just up the hill from the Hayward campus.

The CSUEB Golf Classic benefits the Richard and Susan Sherratt Athletic Scholarship Endowment, which provides financial support for student-athletes who otherwise may not have the opportunity to attend Cal State East Bay and participate in intercollegiate athletics. Rich Sherratt '70, a Pioneer baseball alumnus and CEO of Ballena Technologies in Alameda, created the endowment along with his wife Susan with a $25,000 gift in 2009.

Included in the entry fee are greens fees, golf cart, polo shirt, team and individual awards, tournament gift bag, lunch and dinner. Non-golfers are also invited to enjoy only the benefit dinner, which will feature a silent auction and raffle to support the scholarship endowment.

Sponsorship opportunities across a range of levels also are available for individuals and businesses to show their support for the Pioneers.
