Art Gallery to host annual juried student exhibition through June 8

Cal State East Bay’s University Art Gallery is displaying the year’s best art work produced by CSUEB students during the 2013 Annual Juried Art Exhibition.

The exhibition, which runs through June 8, provides any Cal State East Bay student who has taken an art class in the past year an opportunity to submit up to two art pieces to be considered for inclusion in the show. Admission is free and the public is invited.

For this year’s exhibit, the juror is DeWitt Cheng, a Bay Area art critic and writer for a number of news outlets -- including . The exhibition will be directed by Philip Ringler, gallery curator.

Students whose works are accepted into the exhibition are eligible for awards donated by Cal State East Bay alumni and local businesses.

The University Art Gallery is located adjacent to room 108 on the first floor of the Arts and Education Building, on CSUEB’s Hayward Campus, 25800 91麻豆天美app.

The gallery is open during exhibitions Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Thursdays from 2 to 7 p.m. It is closed on Fridays and Sundays.
