A digest of top, need-to-know dates, deadlines and events for faculty, staff and students, "This Month at CSUEB" is a regular feature of The View e-News. Read on for updates and previews of what’s happening at Cal State East Bay in the coming month:

• Sign up by June 7 for a LEEP (Leadership and Employment Enrichment Program) All-Access Fitness Pass to use at the Recreation and Wellness Center on the Hayward campus. Pass holders receive access to all strengthening and conditioning equipment, the indoor gym and track, plus unlimited fitness classes from spinning to yoga, as well as towel service and shower facilities. Monthly cost is $18. to get started and receive a payroll deduction authorization form.

• Stay up to date by attending the June 12 session of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at California State University, East Bay, devoted to The Case for Public Health. The lecture runs from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Concord Campus. Free for OLLI Members; $5 for non members. or call (925) 602-6776.

• Alumni and CSUEB students in search of summer volunteer opportunities are encouraged to contribute to summer programs by the Contra Costa Economic Partnership happening at the Concord Campus, including: BioTechnology Camp (July 8-12), open to teens interested in learning about subjects such as forensics, disease control, stem cell research and green energy. . Environmental Science Camp (July 22 through 26) for teens features lectures, labs and field visits on issues including wetlands, renewable energy, the Delta ecosystem, ocean health and the Bay Delta. .

• Want to learn to swim or improve your skills at a reasonable price? Let the Kinesiology Department know with (no obligation). The department is planning two Basic Swim Lessons sessions Aug. 5 through 30 and Sept. 2 through 27 at the pool on the Hayward Campus. Questions?
