- July 11, 2013
Cal State East Bay will host its annual Continuing Education Open House event from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12 at the university’s downtown Oakland Center in the Transpacific Building, 1000 Broadway, Oakland.
“We invite all career-driven innovators to partner with us as we explore the power of education and training,” said Brian Cook, associate vice president of CSUEB’s Division of Continuing and International Education. “Together, we can continue to enhance the pipeline of our emerging regional economy through our advanced professional programs.”
Open House attendees can explore approximately 40 degree and certificate programs ranging across industries and fields including behavioral and health science, business and management, education, engineering and project management, construction and sustainability, legal studies, medical and hospitality.
Continuing Education faculty and staff will answer questions and discuss academic, professional and lifelong learning opportunities offered in 2013-2014. Admission is free.
Special presentation sessions will focus on degree programs including the M.S. in accountancy, B.S. in business administration, M.S. in educational leadership, M.S. in health care administration, M.S. in online teaching and learning and M.S. in reading instruction. Presentations on certificate programs in project management, online teaching and learning, paralegal studies and human resource management also will take place during the event.
Continuing Education programs are taught by industry-experienced and academically acclaimed instructors. Its smaller class sizes and lower instructor-to-student ratios allow for more personal instruction, mentoring and coaching, Cook said. Programs are offered at three campus sites in Hayward, Oakland and Concord. Online and hybrid programs also are available.
