California State University, East Bay will celebrate Homecoming 2014 with a weeklong festival of events on both the Hayward and Concord campuses starting Tuesday, Jan. 21.

The celebration theme, “Rise of the Red and Black,” runs through Jan. 25, as CSUEB welcomes back alumni and seeks to inspire university pride for the current student body.
Red and black are the university colors.

Homecoming will offer participants sports events hosted by various Cal State East Bay athletic teams, as well as contests and programs as part of celebrating more than five decades of learning, life and Pioneer Pride.

It will culminate with a men’s and women’s basketball doubleheader hosted by the Pioneers against San Francisco State, a Homecoming parade and party, pre-game tailgates, alumni social and other events to bring together the university and local communities

Students, alumni, faculty and staff are encouraged to display their “Pioneer Pride” by wearing the school colors throughout Homecoming week.
