Cal State East Bay's Stephanie Lopez was selected the California Collegiate Athletic Association Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 17-23.
The Wilmington product was a huge asset in the Pioneers 3-0 week, with wins over Dominican (Calif.), Minnesota State-Moorhead, and Fresno Pacific.
Lopez began her week with a career-high 35 points in the Pioneers' 90-73 victory over the Dominican Penguins. She became the first CSUEB women's basketball player to score at least 30 points in a game since the 2009-10 season after knocking down 10-of-12 attempts from the floor, including three-of-four from three point range and 12-of-13 from the free throw line.
In the 63-59 win over Moorhead and 76-41 blowout against FPU, the senior guard had two more double-digit performances with a total of 37 points, with 15 points scored from the foul line.
On the weekend, Lopez averaged 24 points with 52.6 percent shooting from the floor and 96.4 percent shooting from the free throw line. She also totaled 19 rebounds, 11 assists, and six steals.
