California State Universities Offer Microsoft Office 365 Free to All Students

California State University, East Bay is one of several California State Universities that are working with Microsoft to offer Office 365 free to students. This program is one of many in place to offset the rising cost of education for students at the university level. As part of CSUEB's license agreement with Microsoft, all students, faculty and staff will receive a free Office 365 subscription when they provide a valid CSUEB email address.
Included in the subscription are the full and most recent versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Access, Publisher, and Office Online, which will help students with note-taking, homework assignments, and real-time collaboration with classmates. All students have to do to obtain access to Office 365 is visit , enter their East Bay email address, and then follow the link that will be sent to their East Bay email account in return.
Once students have signed up for the Office 365 subscription they will be able to install Office on up to five devices, including Apple computers, smartphones and tablets. Each subscription includes one terabyte of OneDrive cloud storage.
