Cal State East Bay is the No. 3 school in AffordableCollegesOnline.org’s rankings for 2015-2016.

AffordableCollegesOnline.com (AC Online) aims to show which colleges offer the most notable balances of academic rigor, student support and affordability for online learning.

“We wanted to highlight the schools in each state that are driving innovative learning and meeting demands of students,” said Dan Schuessler, CEO and founder of AC Online. “These schools are not only offering great programs, but they have expanded their program excellence to the much-desired online environment.”

AC Online takes into account the following criteria: the school must be a not-for-profit institution; the number of online bachelor’s degrees available; student-faculty ratio; student loan default rate; job placement and career counseling for graduates; the online tuition rate; and the six-year graduation rate.

Cal State East Bay gives students the opportunity to gain a bachelor’s or master’s degree or obtain a credential or certificate .
