Cal State East Bay Among Top 100 for Diverse Graduate Student Population

California State University, East Bay has received national recognition for its diversity and for promoting student success among minorities.

Diverse: Issues in Higher Education magazine has identified the top providers of graduate degrees to minorities, and CSUEB is ranked among the top 100 colleges and universities in the country. Cal State East Bay was also ranked No. 46 for Top Degree Producers: Asian American Master’s- All Disciplines.

“It is rewarding and affirming to witness those students who represent the diversity of the Bay Area excel in higher education and complete their master’s degrees in over 30 different disciplines,” said CSUEB Diversity Officer Dr. Dianne Rush Woods. “We are grateful to have Cal State East Bay recognized in these rankings and we are immeasurably proud of our students.”

The data compiled by Diverse: Issues in Higher Education is the only national report on the ability of U.S. colleges and universities to award degrees to African-American, Hispanic, Asian-American and Native-American students. The ranking is among all private non-profit and public institutions in the country.
