“Cal State East Bay’s Office of Diversity is honored to pay tribute to the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.,” CSUEB Diversity Officer Dianne Rush Woods said. “Dr. King continues to symbolize hope in the struggle for civil rights, advocacy, and humanity and his legacy implores us to unite as a diverse community of citizens across the globe. His commitment to building community, throughout the United States and abroad, particularly resonates for us as our society continues to struggle with overcoming our fear of our differences. As we come together for the third annual breakfast celebration in homage to him, it seems appropriate to emphasize the need to continue to ‘build community together’ as this year’s theme."
