Cal State East Bay expects more than 1,600 students to move into the Hayward campus’ Pioneer Heights and University Village Sept. 16-18 in preparation for the fall quarter.

First-year students will move in to the Tamalpais, Juniper and Sequoia suites on Sept. 16. Sophomores and juniors will be allowed into the Calaveras, Coloma, Sonora and Sierra residence halls on Sept. 17. Shasta and Diablo will open to juniors and seniors on Sept. 18, and the University Village, which houses upperclass, transfer and international students, will be available for move-in on Sept. 18.

More than 130 freshman students are taking advantage of CSUEB’s JumpStart program, which will allow them to settle into their rooms early, Sept. 14-15. The program also includes meals and activities that get students meeting new people and learning about the campus and the surrounding area.

Classes for the fall quarter begin Sept. 19.
