The Diversity Center is organizing CSUEB’s first Alternative Spring Break (ASB) trip to visit the Campo Kumeyaay Reservation in San Diego, CA.
Participants will build relationships with community partners such as tribal, educational, and health leaders, who make a difference on the Campo reservation and we hope to offer participants the opportunity to learn about a community different than their own, engage in critical dialogue and really just learn about one's own privilege.
Monique LaChappa, tribal chairwoman for the Campo Kumeyaay Nation, was interviewed by NPR in August 2010. .
