Campus Cleanup

The Sustain East Bay Club partnered with Student Life and Leadership to host a campus cleanup as part of a Homecoming week event. We had 30+ students participate to make a positive difference at our school. This is a photo of East Bay's Water Polo team, who was one of many on-campus groups that participated.

Creek Restorations

The Americorps Watershed Stewards Program partnered with the researchers at  East Bay's Concord Campus Galindo Creek field Station to host a creek restoration project. The Sustain Eastbay Club jumped at the opportunity to learn more about holistic methods of creek restoration, and to get their hands dirty.

welcome back hike

Local Hikes

This is the first event of the Sustain East Bay Club's spring schedule. Old and new members trekked into the hills surrounding our Hayward campus. This photo was taken in a large gully where a trickling stream flowed. The club will likely return to this spot for future activities.

Muggy Mondays

Muggy Mondays is an initiative to encourage students, staff, and faculty to reduce their single-use disposable consumption. Every Monday during the spring and fall semester sustainability ambassadors handed out free coffee to those that brought their own reusable mug!
