Welcome to CSUEB's College of Science! We are a learning community of students, staff, and faculty dedicated to advancing knowledge in all different disciplines of math, science, and engineering and making positive change in the world around us. College of Science (CSCI): Pathway to a Successful Healthcare Career

Healthcare professionals, including nurses, are increasingly in demand across California. Learn about Cal State East Bay’s Nursing program, and the many available pathways into the vast healthcare industry, including an array of rewarding and high-paying careers.

Math Lab

The Math Lab is a community learning space that connects Math & Stats graduate Teaching Associates (TAs), undergraduate Learning Assistants (LAs), and students. This study space is designed to support students in the foundational math and statistics courses: MATH 110, MATH 115, MATH 118, MATH 120, MATH 125, STAT 100, STAT 101, and STAT 110. Students are encouraged to meet with study groups, hang out and work on homework, or drop in to get help from an LA or TA.

 

STEM Lab

The STEM Lab is a community learning space that connects undergraduate Learning Assistants (LAs) and STEM students. Each semester we support students in selected science courses, for example, Biology, Geology, Physics, Health Sciences, and Computer Sciences. Please check our website for the specific courses each semester. Students are encouraged to meet with study groups, hang out and work on homework, or drop in to get help from an LA.

BayCard

The Bay Card is Cal State East Bay’s official identification card for our students, faculty, and staff. The Bay Card connects you to campus, granting you access to many buildings, campus dining restaurants, student services and so much more! And now campus access is more convenient than ever with the addition of mobile in-person payments with the Bay Card Mobile App.

Campus Support Services (HOPE, Accessibility, and Veterans)

Our campus has several programs to help you during your time here at CSUEB.  Pioneers for HOPE, Accessibility, and Veterans Services are just a few available to you.

Pioneers for H.O.P.E (Helping Our Pioneers Excel) serves some of our most at-risk students facing homelessness, food insecurity, and other various crisis situations.

Accessibility Services provides academic accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities.  We provide academic accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities. 

Veteran Students Services provides counseling, coaching, and other resources to achieve the educational goals of our student veterans attending CSUEB.

Concord Branch Campus Highlights

Learn more about Cal State East Bay’s Concord Branch Campus, a convenient option for Contra Costa and Southern Solano county residents seeking to complete their education closer to home and/or in a small college setting of fewer than 2,000 students. The Concord campus offers select degree programs and support services, as well as regularly scheduled courses designed to meet the general education requirements for BA and BS degrees, single and multiple subject credential programs, and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership.

Student Housing & Residence Life

Students interested in living on campus are encouraged to  as soon as they accept their admissions. Although there is no "deadline" to apply, spaces may be limited as the beginning of the semester approaches. Students who are looking for specific information regarding housing availability at any given time may contact the Student Housing office at housing@csueastbay.edu or 510-885-7444.
