WSCUC Accreditation Update & Offsite Review

Dear Campus Community,

We are excited to share the latest updates on our accreditation journey following the recent Offsite Review in October. Based upon the initial review from our review team, we are proud to report several commendations of our accomplishments and practices, including:

  • Strong Mission Alignment: Our dedication to serving diverse student populations and providing access through online programs and strong support for transfer students.
  • Financial Progress: Efforts to address structural deficits while identifying reserves to improve campus infrastructure.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Our development of robust data collection and dissemination through the Pioneer Insights platform.

As a part of their normal process, the review team requested further information or documentation in several areas, called “lines of inquiry,” in advance of their Accreditation Visit in March 2025. These lines of inquiry include our campus strategy, financial sustainability, shared governance practices, student success initiatives, and change management processes. The full Offsite Review Summary of Lines of Inquiry is linked here and posted on the campus University Accreditation webpage in the Institutional Report section. Fortunately, we have ample information to provide the team in response to this request.

These lines of inquiry as well as insights from the entire reaffirmation process will help us refine our practices and continue building a strong foundation for our students, faculty, and staff. As we move forward, we remain committed to transparency, collaboration, and our mission to advance student success. More information regarding our WSCUC Campus Visit (March 19-21, 2025) will be shared at the start of the Spring 2025 semester.

Thank you for your continued support and engagement in this important journey. Together, we are making remarkable strides.

Best,

Cathy Sandeen, President
