Workers' Compensation
Workers’ compensation is a state-mandated, employer-paid benefit for employees that sustain occupational injuries or illnesses while working for or on behalf of the University.
Cal State East Bay is committed to providing a safe working environment. Our goal is to help keep employees safe on the job. The reality is that accidents do occur, which can result in injury or illness to the employee. In the event you experience an injury or illness resulting from employment, you may be entitled to Workers’ Compensation benefits.
It is the responsibility of Human Resources to minimize the impact on you in the event this occurs. It is also our goal to facilitate your return to full employment as soon as possible.
